The Gold Course is one of three courses at Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona, west of Phoenix in the Valley of the Sun. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., who also created the club's Blue Course, and has since received contemporary updates from Tom Lehman Design. The club's 54 holes have drawn golf travelers since opening in 1965, and the adjacent Wigwam Resort, part of Arizona's history since 1929, spans 440 acres with 331 guest casitas and suites, pools, a tennis complex and a spa. The golf operation also hosts charity tournaments, corporate outings and group events, and offers stay-and-play packages and memberships.
