TPC Wisconsin sits on 154 acres bordering Madison's 5,000-acre Cherokee Marsh and was originally founded in 1962 as Cherokee Country Club. The club underwent a $25+ million renovation and rebranded as TPC Wisconsin, reopening on August 1, 2023 as the 30th TPC Network golf club in the world. The redesign was led by PGA TOUR player Steve Stricker alongside Steve Wenzloff, Senior VP of Design for the PGA TOUR. The club also features a golf academy, short game practice area, tennis, pickleball, an athletic performance center, a pool, and dining and meeting facilities, and it hosts the American Family Insurance Championship.
