Blackheath Golf Club opened in 1998 and was designed by Kevin Aldrich, who drew inspiration from a trip to Scotland to create a heathland-style layout on 128 acres in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The course plays to a par of 71 with four sets of tees, featuring gently rolling fairways, flat bunkering, and undulating greens. In 1998 it hosted the United States Amateur Sectional qualifier, and it has been rated a top 5 must-play course in Michigan by Crain's Detroit Business and awarded 3½ stars by Golf Digest.
